How clever are the Year 2 children, using all of these different strategies to solve problems?

Year 2 news in brief.

  • Mr Childs has delivered some more potential visitors. So please watch out for chirping updates.

  • Sofia from Class 5 is currently top of RMeasimaths' leaderboard. Well done!

  • We all enjoyed celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday on Thursday.  It's just a shame she couldn't join us.

  • David Attenborough proved to be a really interesting famous person to research.  Did you know that he made his own museum when he was 7 years old? It contained bird's eggs, fossils and stamps.

Watch out for this half term's new Reading Challenge.

Please make sure Reading Challenge sheets are brought in each week to be stamped.

Key Stage 1 Music Festival Song Lyrics.

Please practise as much as you can!

The children are enjoying the new books they chose from the Book Fair.  'Stick Man,' by Julia Donaldson is proving to be a huge hit with the children.

Our author of this half term is Anthony Browne. We enjoy reading his fantastic stories in class, which have hidden images to find within the picture.

What's your child's favourite book?

Why not encourage them to write a book review at home? Then we can put them on display in class.

Our learning this half term is all about the Scented Garden.
