Meet the School Council

School Council

What does it do?

The school council does a number of things:

  • The school council meets, with a teacher present - to discuss key issues, including those linked to school development.
  • Members of the school council are responsible for carrying out the actions that have been agreed.

What are the aims of the school council?

  • To make sure that our school is a safe and happy place for children.
  • To make sure that children have a place to voice their concerns and opinions.
  • To make sure children have a voice and are leading school improvement.
  • To encourage all children in the school to suggest improvements.
  • To make sure any suggestions or concerns are listened to and acted upon.
  • To represent the views and voices of all children.
  • To make sure that the school is the best it can be.
