Year 3 Twilight Trail

logoantialiased

On Friday 25th November 2011 some of the children in year 3 returned to school at 4.15pm with their parents/carers to join the Thurrock Road Safety team and take part in an exciting new initiative called ‘Twilight Trails’.

Twilight Trails was a new scheme to Thurrock last year and aims to educate children in a fun and interactive way about the importance of wearing fluorescent and reflective clothing to ensure they are visible to road users.

The children got to take their parents/carers out in the dark and used torches to find fluorescent and reflective items that had been placed around the playground and field by the school's JRSOs.

The school’s PFA were also on hand and provided hot chocolate, marshmellows and cake for everyone who took part when the trail ended at 5pm.
