Park and Stride Scheme

logoantialiasedThe school's current park and stride scheme that has enabled parents to park at The Inn on the Green before walking the remainder of the way to school has expired and there is a new landlord at the pub who has advised us that he will now clamp any parents who park there as part of the old scheme.

However, the school has worked with the Thurrock Road Safety team and a new park and stride scheme has now been organised. The new scheme will allow parents to park in the King Street car park and then walk into school from here.

At the moment the King Street car park is only available for use by permit holders before 9am  but parents wishing to use the park and stride scheme will be issued with stickers that are vehicle specific to display in their car windscreens to allow them to also park before 9am. Please note that penalty notices will be issued where it is believed the issued stickers are being used as a means for train commuters to use the car park.

Members of the Thurrock Road Safety Team will be around the locations where parents park at the end of the school day on Monday 4th July 2011 with the scheme then officially beginning on Tuesday 5th July when there will be gifts and rewards for the children of the parents who use the scheme. The scheme will then continue when the new school year starts in September.
