Red Nose Day

comic

Friday 13th is unlucky for some, but not for the lucky children at Stanford-le-Hope Primary School who had the opportunity to do something funny for money. Children and adults were asked to donate 50p to dress up as characters from their favourite musicals.

‘Dressing up was excellent because we got to come to school as our favourite characters from musicals’ Sam, Year 5

On show were characters from Mary Poppins, High School Musical, Phantom of the Opera, The Wizard of Oz, Oliver and many more.

It was a fun day, but the serious side of Comic Relief was also thought about throughout the day allowing the children to understand where their money is actually going.

‘We are helping children that are less fortunate than us’ Grace and Lucy, Year 4

A fantastic effort from everyone that took part at Stanford-le-Hope as we managed to raise a brilliant £317.10.

Well done everyone!!
