Sports Hall Athletics

Twenty of our year 5 and year 6 pupils today attended the Thurrock Sports Hall Athletics Championships at St Clere's School.

The team was made up of 10 boys and 10 girls who had been chosen by their teachers as children achieving high standards in their PE lessons.

The children completed in a range of events including standing long jump, obstacle realy, vertical jump, speed bounce, hurdle relay and chest push. In each event the children scored points for the school team based on the position in which they finished.

Our school team finished in second place and all had a thoroughly enjoyable morning. Thanks also to the parents who helped out and supported the team.
